     Tenali Raman was very sharp and smart. He was a entertainer in the palace of King Krishnadevrai. One day, someone gifted a parrot to the King, This parrot use to narrate stories. He used to answer questions asked by the people around him. The King really liked the parrot, He gave his responsibility to one of his loyal servant, and told him, Entire responsibility of this parrot is yours You got to take care of him. Give him lots of things to eat like chilies and pomegranate, Nothing should be less. He is my favourite And if you or someone came and told me anything bad about him than I will punish him And if someone gave me the news of the parrot's death than even he will be punished till death. The servant got afraid It was King's favorite parrot and king had given strict instructions to take care of his favorite parrot and see to that the parrot should not fell sick or die. So the servant started taking very good care of that parrot.

 He started taking very good care of that parrot But one day, that parrot died of some sickness. The servant started shivering because he knew that as soon as the king will come to know about the parrot's death news. The king will get very angry and he will punish him till death. After thinking for a long time...... he thought of going and meeting Tenali Raman, He quickly ran and went to meet Tenali Raman and he said him all the truth Tenali Raman said to the servant really the matter is very serious that parrot was very close to the King But you don't worry I will find out some solution to this problem You should not say anything to the king related to the parrot I will take care of everything. Tenali Raman went to the king and said to the king being tensed and afraid Oh lord king! our parrot that parrot....that....parrot... What happened to that parrot? The king asked Tenali Raman Dear King our parrot is not speaking anything now ,He is very quite ,He is not eating or drinking anything He is not even moving his feathers He is just looking upwards and also his eyes are not moving Listening to Tenali Raman the king got a bit worried, And he himself went to see the parrot and he saw that the parrot has died He said to Tenali Raman Why din't you tell me directly that the parrot passed away.

 You narrated me a very long story about this Why didn't you tell me the truth, You only said that if someone gave you the news of the parrot's death than his caretaker will be punished till death If I had given you this news than till now this servant would have been in the prison Tenali Raman said this to the king, And the King got very impressed by Tenali Raman That Tenali Raman saved a innocent person from being punished. So the life of that servant was saved by the smart Tenali Raman .
