Once, in a small town, there lived a poor brahmin. He was very learned, but he did not do anything all day. He lived on the alms the villagers gave him every day.

One day, as usual, the brahmin got up in the morning, performed his morning rituals and asked for alms. When he went door to door, people gave him several things. Some gave vegetables,others gave him rice and others gave him milk. But a generous lady gave Brahman a large amount of flour.
